Nov-Dec Issue of Call-A.P.P.L.E. Posted

The Nov-Dec 2006 issue of Call-A.P.P.L.E. Magazine has been released and is now available on the Apple Pugetsound program Library Exchange (A.P.P.L.E.) website at www.callapple.org. We have published the two month issue due to the lack of time on the part of the editors this month. Unfortunately, we are still catching up from our migration of the server as well as several international trips. We will return to the monthly schedule next month. A.P.P.L.E. is an official Apple users group.

Migration to new servers completed

After a long 6 weeks of fighting the system, we finally completed the migration of all of A.P.P.L.E.'s web sites to the new server. It took the efforts and skills of 8 people to complete the process and to correct permission issues that arose during the move.

My thanks go out to the two Jims and the rest of the gang who helped us along the way. Stay tuned for more web sites coming up as we get everything settled.

A.P.P.L.E. Moves to larger servers

This month we are moving the entire operation to a larger server. Our end goal is to put all of the magazine and software archives online and allow our members to access them from the member accounts. On the old server with 20gb, this just was not possible.

The newer server allows us to handle any traffic fluxations that may result from our new direction and it comes with 250gb raid 1 setup. Not a bad jump in space and surely will help get everything up.

New Gazette Style of Call-A.P.P.L.E.

Beginning today, we will publish Call-A.P.P.L.E. on a daily basis in a Gazette format. This will allow us to bring you a quick wrapup of all of the Apple news of the day in an easy to read format. You will find the first issue online now at the A.P.P.L.E. Website. A.P.P.L.E. is an official Apple users group.
